A tetrahedron is one of the platonic solids with four triangular faces, six edges, and four vertices. It is also called a triangular pyramid. Recall that pyramids are named according to the shape of their bases. The base of the tetrahedron is a triangle.

This project is good for math displays, math centers for your classroom, home decors, or table display in your office.

**Materials:**

- Popsicle sticks – about 12 pieces.
- Glue – either hot glue or wood tacky glue

### Procedure:

#### Step 1. Connect two Popsicle sticks at an angle using a glue.

#### Step 2. Make six pairs of sticks. These sticks serves as the six edges of the tetrahedron.

#### Step 3. Glue the edges to form a triangle.

#### Step 4. Make two triangles.

#### Step 5. You will need two triangles and one edge.

#### Step 6. Connect two triangles and the edges.

#### Step 7. This the tetrahedron made out of Popsicle sticks.
