Platonic Solid Tetrahedron Popsicle Sticks DYI










A tetrahedron is one of the platonic solids with four triangular faces, six edges, and four vertices. It is also called a triangular pyramid. Recall that pyramids are named according to the shape of their bases. The base of the tetrahedron is a triangle.

This project is good for math displays, math centers for your classroom, home decors, or table display in your office.


  1. Popsicle sticks – about 12 pieces.
  2. Glue – either hot glue or wood tacky glue


Step 1. Connect two Popsicle sticks at an angle using a glue.

Step 2. Make six pairs of sticks. These sticks serves as the six edges of the tetrahedron.

Step 3. Glue the edges to form a triangle.


Step 4. Make two triangles.
