A tetrahedron is one of the platonic solids with four triangular faces, six edges, and four vertices. It is also called a triangular pyramid. Recall that pyramids are named according to the shape of their bases. The base of the tetrahedron is a triangle.
This project is good for math displays, math centers for your classroom, home decors, or table display in your office.
Popsicle sticks – about 12 pieces.
Glue – either hot glue or wood tacky glue
Step 1. Connect two Popsicle sticks at an angle using a glue.
Step 2. Make six pairs of sticks. These sticks serves as the six edges of the tetrahedron.
Step 3. Glue the edges to form a triangle.
Step 4. Make two triangles.
Step 5. You will need two triangles and one edge.
Step 6. Connect two triangles and the edges.
Step 7. This the tetrahedron made out of Popsicle sticks.
